This inspection is a more comprehensive level of inspecting machinery than is done in a routine marine survey. This is a cursory inspection accomplished without any disassembly of engine components. Tests are done using modern methods of determining overall engine condition. This level of inspection does not remove injectors or spark plugs to determine condition. The equipment used is but not limited to: pyrometers, digital VOM, vacuum gauges, oil and coolant sampling and code reading computers.
