CONDITION & VALUATION SURVEY FOR PURCHASE
A comprehensive examination of a vessel to ascertain its condition and general operational capability for the prospective purchaser. This survey comprises:
- Non invasive visual examination of the hull and machinery in and out of the water.
- Brief observation of systems operation.
- Fair market valuation based on the findings.
- Report detailing the findings with recommendations and valuation figures. Besides purchase consideration the report is also intended for insurance and lending purposes.
CONDITION & VALUATION SURVEY FOR INSURANCE
An examination similar in scope to the purchase survey but intended for the current owner of a vessel who is seeking insurance coverage. The survey is primarily focused with the vessel's safety for its intended purpose with less emphasis on cosmetics and maintenance.
DAMAGE SURVEY
A comprehensive inspection which details the extent and probable cause of damage to a vessel. Many variations exist depending on the circumstances. Additional services such as arranging repair estimates and project supervision are available.
CONSULTING SERVICES:
- Invasive examination to confirm symptoms and/or extent of conditions found during non invasive surveys.
- Project oversight for wooden boat restorations, yacht refits and new construction.
- Opinions regarding system installations, hull construction and standards compliance- anything from a major refit to a backyard project can be provided.
- Advice on outfitting a vessel with safety and navigation equipment for offshore passage or other purposes.
SURVEY REPORTS
Written clearly and concisely in plain language. Findings and recommendations are based on standards and recommended practices
set by the American Boat & Yacht Council, the Offshore Racing Council, the US Coast Guard and many other industry sources. Reports
are completed within five working days of the survey. |
