Pre-Purchase Survey
| This is the most comprehensive of all Marine Surveys and is strongly advised on new or used yachts. The pre-purchase survey is conducted using American Boat and Yacht Council Standards and Recommended Practices for Small Boats, USCG Auxiliary Safety Guidelines, CFR section 183, and National Fire Protection Association Standards. This type of survey will include: Hull composition and structural integrity, Propulsion and Machinery, Tankage and Piping, Electrical Systems, Electronic and Navigation Systems, De-Watering Systems, Ground Tackle, Safety Equipment, Shipboard Amenities, Rigging (sailboats only) and Recommendations. Depending on the size of the vessel a typical survey will be approximately 7 to 12 pages and include photos.
