Engine Oil Analysis
| This type of inspection is normally completed on diesel engines and generators but can also be performed on gasoline engines. An oil analysis is performed by drawing fluids and having a qualified laboratory examine the oil contents for water, foreign metals or other containments. Engine oil analysis will help determine the true condition of the vessels machinery. Oil analysis of the vessels reduction gears is also recommended.
