Pre-Purchase / Condition and Value Survey

This is the most comprehensive type of survey and is strongly advised when purchasing a new or used vessel. Many vessel owners request a Condition and Value survey when they wish to sell their vessel so they can correct any found problems before listing it for sale.

The condition and overall operation of the entire vessel is thoroughly inspected for structural integrity. All on board systems such as, electrical, hydraulic, fuel, cooling / heating, propulsion and navigation equipment is powered up to verify operation.. All safety equipment is reviewed for compliance to USCG requirements.

Moisture and delamination checks are performed to the vessels hull, bottom top sides, decks, stringers and bulkheads. The vessels bottom and under water machinery will be inspected at haul out. (Haul out is an extra charge by the marina at the expense of the buyer)

The survey report will reference compliance with the United States Code and the Code of Federal Regulations, USCG, American Boat and Yacht Council and the National Fire Protection Association standards. All findings and recommendation are clearly defined. Fair market, replacement value and general observations regarding the overall condition are all so included.

A sea trial if performed the same day as the survey is included; if a return trip is required additional charges would be incurred. (Captain is supplied by the owner or his agent)
