Condition And Value Survey

Insurance renewal surveys
$13.00 per foot all sizes.

Damage Surveys or Claims Investigation
$80.00 per hour on site and reporting time, plus mileage (Photographs, Travel, lodging additional when applicable)

Note: The primary difference between the Pre-purchase survey, and the Insurance Survey, is that during a typical Insurance Survey, Sea Trials are not performed, moisture readings are usually not taken, nor are sails spread out for inspection.

Travel charges
These are usually just reimbursement for fuel, tolls, etc. Flight, food, and hotel charges are the responsibility of the client unless otherwise stipulated.

Compression checks
Gasoline engines $125.00 each.
Outboard engines reduced rate.

Consulting fee
$100.00 per hour

Expert Witness Fee
$150.00 per hour for Deposition and research time ($500.00 minimum fee) travel and lodging fees, video conferencing additional when applicable unless otherwise discussed.

My qualifications for inspecting vessels result from over 23 years in the marine repair field as a gasoline and diesel engine propulsion systems technician. Additionally, I have sailed thousands of off shore miles including a Trans Atlantic crossing. I have been surveying vessel's professionally for the last 13 years, and am a member in good standing with The American Boat And Yacht Council, The Society Of Accredited Marine Surveyors, and hold a current US Coast Guard 100 Ton Masters Licence with a Sail and Tow Endorsement. As a member of SAMSŽ, I continually attend educational seminars. I am on Acadia Insurance Company's and Boat Us's Preferred Surveyors List and additionally perform Marine Claims Investigations for numerous Insurance Companies.
