Buyer's Assistance Service:
Due to increasing demand, Captain's Choice Marine now offers you the "Buyer's Assistance Service".This service is designed for busy executives or people who need assistance finding a boat to fit their personal preference. If you are tired of wasting your day off checking out "perfect condition" boats only to discover the pitfalls of the sellers' personal & unrealistic opinions, then this service is for you. We will view the boat and pre-qualify its condition to justify your time invested to come and take a look for yourself. You may have found a boat online but don't have the time to drive to its location, because of distance, family commitments or your uncertainty of the condition of the vessel. This is where we can be of assistance to you. We will perform a preliminary walk thru and visual inspection. Provide Digital Pictures that will allow you to see the vessel's current layout and condition as well as provide a verbal report from our certified surveyor. This service does not supply a written report, but will provide you with the pertinent information that you would need to determine if you would like to proceed to the next step of viewing the boat and writing an offer to purchase. Once your offer to purchase has been accepted, we recommend that a full survey on the vessel be performed. Captain's Choice Marine, with our years of experience in the marine market place, particularly surveying vessels, will assure that you will receive a full and accurate survey, no matter what type or length of vessel you may be considering.
Condition & Evaluation Survey: C&V surveys are used for pre purchase or pre sale conditions and will involve sounding the hull and moisture readings of the hull, decks and cabin tops. Inspection of all accessible areas of the vessel. A full examination for the electrical system and components, plumbing, rigging, tankage and engine drive systems and all installed equipment. It is the most comprehensive type of survey using standards set forth by ABYC and NFPA. Insurance Survey: This type of survey has two primary purposes : to identify the vessel, its equipment and general condition and secondly to find any defects ,impairments or hazardous conditions that pose a potential threat to the safety of the vessel or its crew or conditions that can result in a loss or damage. Thorough and comprehensive report much like a C&V. Mapping of deck core moisture analysis: Mapping for repairs or pre purchase conditions by way of a visual mapping process showing exactly what moisture readings are for the side and fore decks giving clear and concise measurements with drawings.
