Francis Hopkinson, Jr. SA
Frank Hopkinson has a lifetime of working, racing, chartering and cruising on sailing and power yachts of all kinds, primarily on the east coast of the US and in the Chesapeake Bay. He has done numerous deliveries (both as captain and crew) along the east coast of the US, between Bermuda and the US, and between Sweden and England.
Graduate of the Chapman School of Seamanship course in Yacht and Small Boat Surveying.
Surveyor Associate (SA) in the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS)
Certified in standards by the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC).
Certified Marine Corrosion Technician by American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC).
Frank is a member of the Corinthian Yacht Club of Philadelphia, The Miles River Yacht Club and the Cruising Club of America. He was a founding member of the team that designed and presented the acclaimed SUDDENLY ALONE course, a confidence and skills building course, given in venues in the eastern US, and now managed by North U.
