Subject: Your survey of s/v Eolienne, Hylas 46 on 23 September 2010

Tom,

You did an absolutely outstanding job on this recent survey.

Although you had been highly recommended, I really did not know what to expect. Probably because of my history in the realm of sea-going aviation, I tend to be a bit more "picky" than most regarding things mechanical. My fear going into this process was that you may not be thorough enough to suit my purposes. However, to my delight, it quickly became very apparent that you were fastidiously thorough. Even better was the fact that your demonstrated broad based knowledge about boats was a direct function of your many years of hands on experience in various facets of the industry. Very impressive!

Now, having addressed your professional competence; allow me to make two additional, very significant, comments; which in many ways may be as important as the previous. - Your tireless patience in answering my continuous questions as I tagged along with you is duly noted and sincerely appreciated. - As the present owner was onboard for this entire survey / sea trial, your polite and courteous dealings with him and his wife was absolutely masterful. So masterful, that he in fact commented and thanked you for same as we finished the day.

Lastly, the advice and assistance you have rendered after the fact - "off the clock" - has been the unexpected icing on what was already a terrific cake.

It does not happen often, but you, sir, have greatly exceeded my expectations!

And for that I thank you,
Sincerely,
Mark

Dear Tom,

I'm not one that normally takes the time to write a letter; however, I'm compelled to do so because of the outstanding service I received during the recent survey of "Petite Fleur" on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

I cannot emphasis enough to anyone considering the purchase of any vessel the importance of engaging a Marine Surveyor. The complexity of boat construction and the numerous systems requires the in depth knowledge only an experienced Surveyor can provide.

Over the years, I've had numerous boats surveyed. Your survey, by far, was the most complete and helpful I have ever had. Many surveyors discourage buyers from being present during a survey, you welcomed my presence! During the survey we reviewed all the boat systems, together. At its conclusion, I knew not only what issues the boat had, but, I learned much about this boats particular systems. Eve had I not purchased the boat, the full day spent in understanding the boats was well worth your fees.

The completed survey provided me with excellent documentation of the vessel and a thorough discussion of critical maintenance and safety issues. The completeness and your credibility with the seller's broker allowed us to get significant concessions on the coat purchase which far out weighed the minor costs of your services. Finally, when it came to financing and insuring the vessel your survey was immediately accepted without question.

I highly recommend you services to any potential boat purchaser or person needing to get a thorough understanding of a vessel.

I wish you all the success your quality services deserve!

Kind Regards,

Matthew Hahn

Re: Survey of 2007 Tiara 42 Open

Dear Tom,

Now that my purchase of the 2007 Tiara 42 Open which your company surveyed has closed, I wanted to write a note to express my appreciation for the highly professional manner in which my survey was performed. Without the detail and documented information contained in the survey, I would have undoubtedly subsequently incurred additional expenses correcting items your survey revealed. Likewise, absent the clear and factual presentation of these deficiencies, the seller would surely have been more reluctant to have such work performed.

Since most of us don't often retain the services of a marine surveyor, the selection process is difficult. However, as the survey progressed on its appointed day, it became increasingly evident to me I had made the right choice in Eve Marine. Your knowledgeable discussion and factual manner put both me, as buyer, and the seller at ease. This facilitated the entire transaction.

While it may be some time before I am again in the market for another boat, I assure you that Eve Marine will then be one of my first calls.

Thanks for your cooperation and assistance. If I can be of servce, please don't hesitate to call me anytime.

Sincerely,

James M. Gilly, Jr.
