- My Dad gave me a rowboat in Lake Union, Washington when I was 4 years old. There are many stories of the Coast Guard returning me home after repeated escape attempts through the locks.
- Raised, educated, and sailed worldwide, South East Asia, Australia, East & West Indies, North/Central/South America.
- 6 years as a U.S. Navy Boiler engineer attaining P/O 2nd Class. Attended numerous service schools and training programs in Petroleum/Oils/Lubricants, Boiler Water Treatment, Pneumatic Automatic Combustion Control Systems, Firefighting, Nuclear/Biological/Chemical Damage Control.
- 20 + years in the restoration construction business, culminating as Senior Construction Estimator and Multi-Divisions Manager for a S.O.S International, a Worldwide Disaster Management Company, based in San Francisco, California.
- Went cruising in 1992 to Central and South America in a 24' enginless center cockpit schooner.
- 7 years Managing a Vessel Repair Facility in the Panama Canal, Republic of Panama.
- Currently living aboard with my family on a 45-foot Morgan Center Cockpit Ketch in Louisiana practicing the profession of Yacht & Small Craft Marine Surveyor.
