What is a Marine Consultant?
A Marine Consultant is an individual that works for an individual client, to assist or provide them with expert advice on watercraft and the many facets involved. They represent the client in decisions that at times may require a second opinion or for those clients that may understand the general concepts, but not quite all the details.
Technological advances in the marine industry are appearing at a very fast rate, at times faster than in many other industries. A Marine Consultant is someone who is constantly exposed to these advances and who focuses on what new products may be valid (a carbon fiber marine head like the one on the left for instance), against those that have withstood the test of time, as with the example to the right, of a legendary Herreshoff deck cleat.
